Jennifer D’Alotto, MSW, LCSW, Oncology Social Worker at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) took some time to share her thoughts on Christopher’s Haven:

“There are so many benefits to staying at Christopher’s Haven, it is hard to highlight just one. But I would say that as important as the convenience and proximity are for patients and families in daily treatment [at MGH], it is of equal or greater importance that families are in an understanding and welcoming community while they are away from home for treatment. And that sense of community that families experience here expands far beyond the confines of treatment. We have observed families who make lasting, supportive relationships which impact their experience long after they complete their proton treatment. It is a very special place to be during a challenging time.”
